A Reminder from Man Camp Leadership

Pastors, Parents, and campers, as we get closer to the start of Man Camp, we want to take a moment to remind you of our Camper Code of Conduct. These guidelines are not arbitrary; they are designed to promote holiness, unity, and clarity in an increasingly confused culture.

One key area we want to emphasize is gender distinction. God created male and female on purpose, and different on purpose. The Bible says, “Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?”(1 Corinthians 11:14). God’s Word also warns against being effeminate (1 Corinthians 6:9).

At camp, we ask all young men to reflect biblical masculinity in heart, conduct, and appearance. That means no earrings, necklaces, bracelets, or gender-neutral hairstyles. Hair must be off the ears and collar, with no rat tails or trendy extremes. Please ask if you’re unsure what qualifies; we’re happy to help before camp begins.

We also have clear expectations regarding modesty and media.

  • No alcohol, tobacco, drugs, vapes, or non-prescription medications
  • No radios, headphones, electronic devices, books, or magazines
  • No knives, pets, fireworks, or weapons of any kind
  • No mesh, sleeveless, or see-through shirts; no inappropriate graphics or slogans
  • Knee-length shorts are allowed for sleepwear only
  • Cell phones and smart watches must be checked into the camp office upon arrival

These standards help us remove distractions and create a focused, spiritual environment. Any camper failing to abide by these rules may be asked to go home.

We love your young men, and we want this week to count. Let’s come prepared in body and spirit, ready to grow, serve, and be challenged.
